Your first session, step by step

We want your experience at Waves of Light to feel safe, clear and unhurried. Here is everything you need to know before you arrive.

The journey

What to expect

01

Before your session

You'll be asked to complete a health intake assessment form covering your medical history, nutritional habits, lifestyle, and current concerns. This helps Helen understand your whole picture before you arrive.

02

Your first session

Sessions run for 90 minutes. Helen works gently and without judgement — using muscle monitoring to listen to what your body is telling her, then addressing what she finds through whichever modalities are most appropriate.

03

After your session

Many clients notice a shift in the days that follow a session — sometimes immediate lightness, sometimes a gentle processing. Helen may prescribe flower essences or home practices to support your integration.

04

Ongoing care

Healing is cumulative. Some issues resolve in a few sessions; others benefit from a longer arc of work. Helen will discuss what she recommends after your first visit.

FAQ

Common questions

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothing you can move easily in. You remain fully clothed throughout kinesiology and massage sessions.

How long is a session?

Kinesiology and massage sessions are 90 minutes. Terahertz wand sessions and some energy work may vary — Helen will advise when you book.

Is it safe for children?

Yes. Kinesiology is gentle and non-invasive, making it suitable for children of all ages. Food and chemical sensitivity retraining is especially effective for children.

Do kinesiologists diagnose medical conditions?

No. Kinesiologists do not diagnose medical conditions. The work is complementary — it supports your wellbeing alongside any medical treatment you are receiving. Always consult your GP for medical concerns.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies enormously depending on your situation. Some clients notice profound shifts after one or two sessions; long-held chronic patterns may benefit from a sustained programme. Helen will discuss her recommendations after your first visit.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes — particularly for children, a parent or guardian is welcome to remain in the room. For adult sessions, please discuss with Helen beforehand.
